Injector Overhaul Kit for Bosch and Lucas Injectors in Jaguar XJ/XJS 5.3 V12 HE – Kit 7

Kit 7 is compatible with Bosch 0280150161, 0280150162, 0280150163 and 0280150164 injectors, and Lucas 73303A injectors, fitted in Jaguar XJ/XJS 5.3 V12 HE and Daimler Double Six models. Check the numbers on your injectors before ordering; if they do not match, contact us first so we can help confirm fitment.

Its ethanol-resistant fuel hose lets you upgrade older polyester-reinforced injector hoses, helping futureproof your classic car as ethanol content in petrol rises and fuel blends change.

Check the injector connection before ordering: these injectors use ferrules at both ends of each hose. Kit 7 includes 24 ferrules for its 12 hose sections; it does not include hose clips.

  • Construction: FPM inner tube, ECO rubber intermediate layer, braided aramid-fibre reinforcement and ECO rubber outer cover
  • Working pressure: 10 bar
  • Burst pressure: 50 bar
  • Temperature range: −40°C to +125°C (up to +150°C for short periods)
  • Standards listed: DIN 73379-B1, SAE J30R9, BMW GS 93010, DBL 6256.70, GME 08 007 and VW TL 524 24
  • Fuel compatibility: Ethanol-resistant and suitable for E10, biodiesel (RME) and commercially available fuels

Before you order

  • Confirm your injectors are Bosch 0280150161, 0280150162, 0280150163, 0280150164 or Lucas 73303A.
  • The hose sections are pre-cut for the specified application.
  • Injectors are not included.

⚠️ Why you should check your old fuel hoses

UK fuel can contain up to 10% ethanol. Older polyester-reinforced fuel hoses can degrade over time, becoming hard, brittle or cracked. Leaks can occur, risking an engine fire. At the same time as replacing the injector hoses, it is advised to check the fuel feed and return lines and any other hoses around the engine, and replace any that are aged, cracked, hard, or unsuitable for current fuel.

Delicate Mechanisms: Injectors—especially historic hose injectors—are fragile. Some components cannot be removed, replaced, or obtained anywhere. Check our kits before dismantling your own parts; some items are not available aftermarket. Do not force components loose or strip your injectors down until you know what we can replace, or the injector may need replacing.

Expert Fitment Advised: We strongly advise using a competent professional for installation to avoid common issues like over-tightening hose clamps or damaging pintle needles. If you are unsure about dismantling, fitting or refitting an injector, seek advice from a competent professional before proceeding.

Lubrication: The only lubricant we recommend is a light smear of clean engine oil, wiped almost completely off before fitting.

It is a good kit for my overhaul of the injectors. The kit came with a clear explanatory description of how to carry out the overhaul. The website is very detailed so you do have to search for what suits you. The kit was sent very quickly and was well packed.
