Overhaul Kit for Bosch 0280150034 / 0280150036 Injectors in Mercedes-Benz V8 – Kit 189

Kit 189 is designed for Mercedes-Benz V8 applications fitted with Bosch 0280150034 or 0280150036 injectors, also identified by Mercedes-Benz part numbers A0000781623 or A0000783123. Check your injector numbers before ordering. It includes ethanol-resistant hoses and all the required replacement parts to refurbish eight injectors at home, with instruction sheets to guide you through the work.

Its ethanol-resistant fuel hose lets you upgrade older polyester-reinforced injector hoses, helping futureproof your classic car as ethanol content in petrol rises and fuel blends change.

Check the inlet before ordering: this kit includes eight injector hose ferrules and eight top fuel-rail clips. Compare your injector and rail connections with the product photos and confirm that your existing setup uses the same ferrule-and-clip arrangement.

What’s included

  • 8 × Aramid-reinforced, ethanol-resistant fuel hose pieces, each cut to 40mm length
  • 8 × hose ferrules
  • 8 × pintle caps
  • 8 × inlet manifold seals
  • 8 × injector filter baskets
  • 8 × top fuel-rail clips
  • 8 × mid-body clamping rubbers, supplied in the later, deeper style that does not require the original circlip
  • Instruction sheets to guide you through the work

Fuel Hose specifications

  • Construction: FPM inner tube, ECO rubber intermediate layer, braided aramid-fibre reinforcement and ECO rubber outer cover
  • Working pressure: 10 bar
  • Burst pressure: 50 bar
  • Temperature range: −40°C to +125°C (up to +150°C for short periods)
  • Standards listed: DIN 73379-B1, SAE J30R9, BMW GS 93010, DBL 6256.70, GME 08 007 and VW TL 524 24

Before you order

  • Confirm your injectors match one of the part numbers listed above and are fitted in a Mercedes-Benz V8 application.
  • Check that your existing hose connections use ferrules and fuel-rail clips in the same arrangement as this kit provides.
  • Confirm that the supplied 40mm hose lengths match your setup.
  • The supplied mid-body clamping rubbers are the later, deeper type and do not require the original circlip.
  • The injector shown in the product photo is for identification only and is not included.

⚠️ Why you should check your old fuel hoses

UK fuel can contain up to 10% ethanol. Older polyester-reinforced fuel hoses can degrade over time, becoming hard, brittle or cracked. Leaks can occur, risking an engine fire. At the same time as replacing the injector hoses, it is advised to check the fuel feed and return lines and any other hoses around the engine, and replace any that are aged, cracked, hard, or unsuitable for current fuel.

⚠️ Petrol Compatibility & Injector Handling Notice

Petrol Only: Strictly for petrol engines, not diesel. Check compatibility before buying.

Delicate Mechanisms: Injectors—especially historic hose injectors—are fragile. Some components cannot be removed, replaced, or obtained anywhere. Check our kits before dismantling your own parts; some items are not available aftermarket. Do not force components loose or strip your injectors down until you know what we can replace, or the injector may need replacing.

Expert Fitment Advised: We strongly advise using a competent professional for installation to avoid common issues like over-tightening hose clamps or damaging pintle needles. If you are unsure about dismantling, fitting or refitting an injector, seek advice from a competent professional before proceeding.

Lubrication: The only lubricant we recommend is a light smear of clean engine oil, wiped almost completely off before fitting.
